Hot take: why not put tonogodhime stacks in full sun so they dry out faster after rain? Seems like it would
prevent funk and mold.
Drying isn’t always the goal. Full sun can swing moisture too hard—bark cracks, logs dry out, and fruiting
gets weird. Tonogodhime tends to do best in shade/partial canopy where moisture stays steadier.
If you’re fighting dampness, I’d rather see morning sun and afternoon shade than full sun all day. Enough
to dry the surface, not enough to bake the logs.
